Julia Roberts’ Daughter, Hazel Roberts, Shines in Her First Red Carpet Appearance at 16

Julia Roberts stands out in Hollywood for her remarkably normal lifestyle. Married to cinematographer Daniel Moder for nearly two decades, their marriage appears to be blissful.

The couple has been blessed with three children: twins Phinnaeus and Hazel, who are 16, and a younger son, Henry, who is 14.

Roberts and Moder are very private when it comes to their family, seldom taking their children to public gatherings or posting their photos online.

Yet, in a rare public appearance, Hazel was spotted with her father at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in France last July.

They attended to showcase “Flag Day,” a film featuring Daniel Moder’s cinematography and directed by Sean Penn.

While Hazel did not play a character in the film, she attended the ceremony to support her father’s efforts.

Hazel’s stunning looks were the center of attention.

Observers noted her mother’s nose among her features, yet many remarked on her strong resemblance to her father’s good looks. With her blonde hair and blue eyes, her attractiveness is undeniable.

She chose a delicate, long lace gown in soft yellow, paired with black Mary Jane heels for the occasion. Her hair was elegantly styled into a ponytail, complemented by subtle makeup, enhancing her natural beauty.

Moder, visibly proud, stayed close to his daughter throughout the evening, radiating pride.

Given Roberts’ grounded approach to life, it’s unclear if Hazel or her siblings have aspirations to work in the film industry. Their parents have kept a tight lid on discussions about their children, opting to maintain their privacy and keep them away from the limelight.

Despite her estimated $250 million fortune, Roberts has consistently eschewed diva behavior, embodying humility instead.

In 2016, Hazel, along with her brothers, took on small roles in Roberts’ film “Mother’s Day.”

Roberts shared with Harper’s Bazaar in 2018 her thoughts on her children’s perception of her fame: “I don’t believe they will ever fully grasp it. I remember telling you once how they reacted when they started to piece it together, asking, ‘You’re famous?'”

To which she responded, “I explained that quite a few people might have seen my movies or know of me.”

She went on to address the unique challenges faced by the current generation of young people, remarking, “It’s a different scenario compared to when I might have told my mom, ‘You just don’t understand what it’s like to be a teenager these days,’ even though she probably did.”

“Danny and I are truly at a loss when it comes to understanding what being a teenager today entails. Whenever my kids come to me with questions, my go-to response is, ‘I’m going to say no for now and look into it, because I honestly don’t know what you’re referring to.'”

A Typical Life Away from the Glamour and Glamor of Hollywood
Hazel and her siblings are kept out of the spotlight by their sensible and down to earth parents. Roberts and Moder place a high priority on ensuring their well-being and offering them the chance to live regular lives away from the flash and glamour of Hollywood. Hazel and her siblings are spared from the hectic and frequently shallow world of the entertainment industry and instead get to enjoy the beauty and simplicity of a typical childhood.

It’s encouraging to see Julia Roberts and Danny Moder put their kids’ happiness and wellbeing first in a society that occasionally values fame and money above all else. They are instilling in their kids the importance of leading modest and grounded lives by keeping them out of the spotlight. And from what we could see of Hazel Moder at the Cannes Film Festival, it’s clear that her parents’ love and attention have made her into an extraordinary young woman who is poised to face the world with grace and elegance.
