Touching Moment: Stepmom’s Heartfelt Wedding Vows to Four-Year-Old Leave Everyone in Tears

Title: “Tender Moment: Four-Year-Old Gage Overwhelmed by Stepmom’s Emotional Wedding Vows”

In a heartwarming ceremony in Ripley, New York, a few years ago, four-year-old Gage Newville learned a valuable lesson about battling his emotions as his father, US Marine Corps sergeant Joshua Newville, married Senior Airman Emily Leehan.

Throughout the ceremony, young Gage held it together remarkably well, standing proudly by his father’s side as he exchanged vows with his bride, Senior Airman Emily Leehan. Little did Gage know that Leehan had prepared a special set of vows just for him, and when she began reciting them, emotions got the better of him.

As Leehan began with words like, “I want you to be safe, and to try your hardest and to be a good person,” Gage couldn’t hold back his tears. He threw his arms around her, overcome with emotion, and the audience responded with a collective “awwww.”

Leehan continued, saying, “The last thing I hope you learn is that you are a special boy. You are so extremely smart, handsome, and kind to others. You have helped shape me into the woman that I am today, and I may not have given you the gift of life, but life surely gave me the gift of you.”

Both Leehan and Newville couldn’t help but shed their own tears as they finished their vows. As for Gage, he undoubtedly stole the show with his striking suit and doe-eyed stare during Leehan’s vows, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone present.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds, Leehan and Newville, remained on active duty and couldn’t head straight off for their honeymoon. Instead, they returned to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst to begin their married life. Despite the delay, their wedding ceremony was an unforgettable and emotional moment, as you can witness in the video of Gage hearing Leehan’s vows below. Grab some tissues; it’s a real tearjerker!

What a beautiful ceremony, and a timely reminder of the power of love. We wish Joshua and Emily all the best in their lives together.
