Sadie and Sunny Sandler: The Spitting Image of Their Celebrated Dad

The resemblance to Adam Sandler is uncanny

Adam Sandler’s daughters, Sadie and Sunny, were recently spotted on the red carpet alongside their renowned father at the premiere of his latest film, “Spaceman,” in February 2024.

The sisters showcased contrasting styles: Sadie opted for a sleek leather mini-dress paired with tights, while Sunny chose an elegant, floor-length leopard print sleeveless dress. They also posed with their mother, who donned a black dress featuring a butterfly-adorned bodice.

The Sandler family is no stranger to the red carpet, often appearing together even for events not directly related to Adam Sandler’s own projects. Both Sadie and Sunny are carving out their own paths in acting, accumulating an impressive list of credits.

Their debut in a major project was truly a family collaboration. Adam Sandler’s movie, “You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah,” featured his real-life daughters, Sadie and Sunny, playing his on-screen daughters, showcasing comedic talents that echo their father’s.

The movie centers around Stacy (played by Sunny Sandler), a seventh-grader organizing her dream bat mitzvah amidst escalating tensions with her lifelong best friend, Lydia. Throughout the film, Stacy’s mother (Idina Menzel) and her sister (played by her real-life sibling, Sadie Sandler) urge her to reconcile with Lydia.

In a twist of casting, Adam and Jackie Sandler, the parents of Sadie and Sunny, also appear in the film—Adam as Stacy’s father and Jackie as Lydia’s mother, Gabi.

This film is not the first foray into acting for either Sadie or Sunny. According to IMDb, Sadie Sandler received her first acting credit in 2008 at just two years old, and Sunny began her acting career with her first credit in 2010, also around the age of two.

Despite their numerous acting credits, Sadie and Sunny have largely grown up away from the limelight. Therefore, it came as a surprise to many fans how closely they resembled their father, Adam Sandler, when they appeared with him at the premiere of “Murder Mystery 2” in March 2023, a film he starred in with Jennifer Aniston.

Adam Sandler’s recent red carpet event marked the first time in a while that his daughters had joined him publicly, appearing more grown-up and even more reminiscent of their famous father than in previous appearances.

Here’s what we know about Adam Sandler’s daughters, Sadie and Sunny.

Who are Adam Sandler’s Kids?

Adam Sandler has two daughters with his wife, Jackie.

Their first daughter, Sadie Madison Sandler, was born in 2006. When Sadie was a toddler, Sandler recounted on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” how he had overtaken his wife as their daughter’s favorite person. “We’re very connected to this child – everything revolves around her, and lately, she’s been all about me. It was always about my wife, but now, she’s following me around, wanting to do everything I do,” he shared.

In 2008, the couple welcomed their second daughter, Sunny Madeline Sandler.

Sandler shared a charming story about how he found out they were expecting Sunny during an interview on “Live with Regis and Kelly.” He explained, “I came home late, and Jackie kept hinting that Sadie had a present for me, well past her bedtime. Sadie then handed me a gift, and after some encouragement from Jackie to open it, I discovered it was a pregnancy test showing positive. It was an overwhelming moment.”

Adam and Jackie Sandler have been cautious about maintaining a minimal online presence for their daughters. However, Adam often shares light-hearted stories about his family life.

In 2019, on an episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Adam talked about the new challenges of seeing his oldest daughter Sadie become a teenager, particularly her burgeoning interest in boys. He humorously recounted, “I’m often driving Sadie and her friends around, and now I overhear them talking about boys… It’s strange; the feelings I have now are so different from five years ago. Back then, when they mentioned a boy’s name, I’d think, ‘Oh, I like that kid.’ But now, it makes me nervous,” he chuckled.

What Other Projects Have Adam Sandler’s Daughters Worked On?
Adam Sandler’s daughters have clearly followed in their father’s footsteps, showcasing their acting talents in several major films. Recently, Sunny Sandler appeared in “Spaceman,” while Sadie Sandler lent her voice to the character “Summer” in the animated movie “Leo.”

Their filmography also includes roles in “Don’t Mess With The Zohan,” “Bedtime Stories,” “Grown Ups,” and “Just Go With It.” Both Sadie and Sunny have already established a strong foundation for potential careers in Hollywood.
