For many years, the aircraft in question had been a fixture on a road in Roswell, New Mexico, USA. However, after decades of being in that spot, the plane has finally found a new owner. In a recent Florida auction, an enthusiastic Elvis fan secured the aircraft via telephone bidding for a price of $260,000.

When the plane first soared above the clouds, Elvis had his father, Vernon Presley, by his side, sharing in the experience.

In the three decades following Elvis’s passing, the plane found a special resting place in New Mexico. Its exterior, though showing signs of age with a somewhat faded red color, has managed to stay in relatively good condition.

The plane found its new home after being auctioned off for $260,000 at the Mecum Kissimmee Collector Car auction in Florida on January 8. The identity of the new owner, who made bids via telephone, has remained undisclosed, adding an air of mystery to the aircraft’s future adventures.
