Denver Nuggets Superstar Nikola Jokic Anticipates Pre-Playoffs Break for Precious Time with Daughter

The primary reason Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic is looking forward to the pre-playoffs break is to spend quality time with his daughter.

The Denver Nuggets, led by Nikola Jokic, capped off another successful season with 57 wins and 25 losses, finishing second in the highly competitive Western Conference.

The team is set to enjoy a well-deserved break as they bypass the play-in round and prepare to face either the Los Angeles Lakers or the New Orleans Pelicans in the first round of the playoffs.

“A lot of it comes down to trusting each other. I think our defense, especially after the break, has been solid. We are running much better, playing together more—it’s probably just experience too,” Jokic explained, reflecting on the Nuggets’ 57-25 record.

In a post-game interview, the team’s standout player, Nikola Jokic, shared insights into how the team achieved such a successful season and what he is looking forward to during their brief break.

“It’s good. To be honest, I am excited. I need to hurry home,” the center said. “We opened a pool yesterday or two days ago, so I am kind of excited to spend a couple of days with my daughter on the pool. That, for me, is exciting right now,” he revealed.

Jokic’s plans for the break were higher on his priority list.

The Joker believes that the break will assist to revitalize the squad and rekindle their motivation for the most difficult portion of the NBA season, regardless of how he or his teammates pass the time.

“It’s going to help. Just to heal up, just to [get to] want to play again, just to get the joy back… The playoffs are coming, so the fun part is starting. The weather looks good,” he concluded.

Nikola Jokic averaged a nearly triple-double of 26.5 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 9 assists on 58.2% field goal shooting during a very prolific season for him. As of April 14, the most recent Kia Race to the MVP Ladder indicates that he is the clear favorite to win MVP this year.
