“Courage for My Faith” — Charlie Kirk’s Final Message to America

In one of his final interviews before his untimely death, conservative leader and activist Charlie Kirk opened up about the one thing that mattered most to him — and how he wanted the world to remember him.

Now, following his tragic passing on September 10, 2025, during a public event at Utah Valley University, his words echo with deeper meaning than ever before.

A Voice That Changed a Generation

Charlie Kirk was arguably one of the most influential and respected conservative voices of his generation. In 2012, at just 18 years old, Charlie made a bold decision — he skipped college to pursue full-time political activism. Just one month after graduating high school, he co-founded Turning Point USA alongside mentor Bill Montgomery.

Their goal?
To “identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote freedom.”

Through Turning Point, Charlie reached millions of young people, challenging them to think critically, stand up for their beliefs, and defend constitutional principles. He became known for his sharp debate skills and his willingness to engage with anyone — anywhere — through his “Prove Me Wrong” campus tours.

Sadly, it was during one of those very tours that tragedy struck.

 A Nation in Mourning

On September 10, during a student event at Utah Valley University, Charlie Kirk was shot and killed in what officials are now calling a “political assassination.” He was just 31 years old.

His death sent shockwaves throughout the country. Tributes poured in from political leaders, faith communities, and students who had been impacted by his message. President Donald Trump posted:

“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead.”

But even as the nation grieved, many turned to his own words — words that now feel eerily prophetic.

“I Want to Be Remembered for Courage for My Faith”

Just two months before his death, Charlie appeared on The Iced Coffee Hour podcast, where he was asked a surprisingly deep question:

“If everything just goes away — how would you want to be remembered?”

Initially stunned by the question, Charlie paused, then offered a response that perfectly encapsulated his life’s mission:

“I want to be remembered for courage for my faith,” he said.
“That would be the most important. The most important thing is my faith in my life.”

There was no mention of politics, podcasts, book deals, or media appearances. For Charlie, faith was the center of everything he did — and he wanted that to be his legacy.

A Life Anchored in Love and Purpose

Charlie Kirk leaves behind his wife of four years, Erika Frantzve, and their two young children — a 3-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son. Erika, a fellow believer and founder of the faith-based brand PROCLAIM, often spoke about Charlie not just as a leader, but as a man deeply rooted in love, humility, and conviction.

On Father’s Day, she once wrote:

“To the world, you’re Charlie Kirk… but to us, you’re the world.”

A Legacy of Bold Faith

In the end, Charlie Kirk lived exactly how he hoped to be remembered — boldly, faithfully, and without fear.

He challenged his generation not just to think, but to believe. Not just to vote, but to stand. Not just to live, but to live with eternal purpose.

As America reflects on his life and impact, may we hold onto his final message — that true courage comes not from power or position, but from unwavering faith in God.

“I want to be remembered for courage for my faith…”
