Rochelle Steffen, the founder of the rescue, commended Pear’s commendable patience during the entire process, noting how the dog remained calm while they worked on her. Fortunately, Pear didn’t harbor maggots in her fur, and she had narrowly escaped being struck by a car. However, she bore the scars of a missing eyeball, likely the result of a past injury.
