Reba McEntire Stuns in Sheer Lace at 2024 ACM Awards, Garnering Universal Praise
|Reba McEntire made history last week by hosting the American Country Music Awards for a record-breaking 17th time, and she certainly captured her share of the spotlight.
The iconic singer took on the role of emcee at the ceremony in Fresco, Texas. Having hosted the event numerous times in the past, including in 2019 and as recently as last year, McEntire is no stranger to the job.
At 69, McEntire’s expertise was evident, and her opening monologue set the tone for another outstanding performance. Fans watching at home were full of praise for her hosting skills and her stunning red carpet look.
Reports say McEntire walked the red carpet in a black sequined blazer paired with flared trousers by Roberto Cavalli, featuring a lace pattern. She accessorized her striking outfit with turquoise jewelry, including a necklace and chandelier earrings.
Naturally, Reba’s ensemble sparked a lot of online commentary. As a beloved figure in the US, especially after performing the “Star-Spangled Banner” at this year’s Super Bowl, her fans were out in full force following the 2024 ACM Awards.
“Absolutely stunning as usual Reba,” one person wrote. Another said: “You are amazing at what you do. But it’s also important to mention how amazing you look.“ “She is one gorgeous woman,” opined a third.
And it wasn’t just her look that impressed people; her natural flair for hosting was equally lauded. As mentioned, this year’s event marked the 17th time McEntire has hosted the ACM Awards, a relationship that spans over 40 years since she received her first award.
Reba didn’t miss the chance to sprinkle humor into her hosting duties. She quipped that Jelly Roll used to be the name of an after-school snack, a nod to the award-nominated country music artist, and joked that a stagecoach was her mode of transport to school, playing off the name of the popular country music festival.
Fans were quick to share their admiration for Reba’s performance.
“Having Reba host this year’s show is like having your favorite aunt come over for dinner,” one fan on X wrote. “She’s so sweet & you love to hear from her.”
Another fan added, “She is just an absolutely incredible entertainer; country music is lucky to have her.”
“It’s always a good time and a party,” a fourth fan added.
A fifth labeled McEntire “the ultimate host.”
