Season 26 of The Voice kicked off on September 23 with two new faces preparing to spin their iconic coach chairs.

John Legend, who first appeared in 2018, and Chance the Rapper, a coach since season 23, left their seats behind for Michael Bublé and Snoop Dog, who joined mentors Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani.

Speaking with People, Snoop explained that joining the cast is “like a lost family reunion.”

“It feels like we’ve been together our whole lives, and we just reunited, and the camaraderie and the chemistry on set, it’s magic,” the 52-year-old rapper and songwriter said.

“The Voice” Reignites Classic Vibes with New Energy

“I think when people watch this season, they’ll feel re-energized, like the show has returned to its roots. It’s not just thrilling for the artists, but for the coaches too, because we genuinely care, and you’ll see that on screen,” one of the coaches shared.

‘Brothers from Another Mother’

Snoop Dogg, who has formed an unlikely yet tight bond with Michael Bublé, likens their relationship to that of “brothers from another mother.” Reflecting on their connection, Snoop, known for his close friendship with Martha Stewart, said, “Who would’ve thought? But I’ve always had these unexpected pairings, and it really feels like Bublé and I are lost brothers.”

Snoop further added, “We love the same things, we agree to disagree, and it’s incredible to meet someone so late in my career who shares my outlook on life. We’ve bonded both on and off screen, and it’s a beautiful thing.”

The admiration is mutual, with Bublé gushing over his newfound bromance with the rapper. “I love you so much, and I’m not kidding… I was terrified you wouldn’t be who I hoped, but you exceeded all my expectations,” Bublé admitted during a roundtable discussion. “I was so excited to work with you, and you’ve turned out to be even better than I imagined.”

‘Phenomenal Judges’

The undeniable chemistry between the coaches has captivated audiences, with fans raving about the electric energy and camaraderie that made the season premiere of *The Voice* truly unforgettable.

“This season is going to be amazing! The judges have great chemistry, no awkward moments at all. They all seem so genuine,” one fan commented on the show’s Instagram.

Another added, “The coaches this season are hilarious! I’m loving this team together!”

A third fan raved, “Best season opener in the history of the show! The judges are phenomenal, work well together, and are so kind to the contestants! Loving the addition of Snoop and Michael!”

Other fans shared their excitement about Snoop Dogg joining the show: “Snoop, you were amazing! Your energy and the way you show your emotions is incredible. I loved you before, but now I love you even more,” one fan commented. Another added, “Snoop Dogg is hilariously funny, and it looked like everyone was having a great time together.”

A third fan admitted, “I had doubts about Snoop at first, but now I think they should make him a permanent judge.”

**‘Disgraceful’**

Not everyone was thrilled about Snoop’s presence on *The Voice*, though. Some fans expressed their displeasure, with one writing, “I’m banning this season because of Snoop Dogg! Disgraceful.” Another simply said, “Get rid of Snoop!”

One viewer was particularly upset about Snoop handing out chains featuring the Death Row Records logo, the iconic hip-hop label he now owns.

“Snoop is such a cringy judge! His attempt to coach a contestant on branding and marketing was just way off,” one viewer commented.

In past seasons, coaches like John Legend gave his team jackets, Chance the Rapper handed out hats, and Dan + Shay provided customized baseball jerseys.

Continuing her critique of the current lineup, the same fan added, “Not sure why they brought Gwen back. She was fun when Blake was a judge. I love Michael, but honestly, I’m starting to get bored with the show.”

‘Tired of Gwen’

Gwen Stefani, who first joined the show in season seven, also drew some negative feedback from viewers.

“We’re only nine minutes into the show and Gwen Stefani is already annoying,” one fan complained. Another wrote, “Ten minutes in and I’m already tired of Gwen.”

A third added, “Wish someone else was in Gwen’s spot, shake my head.”
