Lainey Wilson Joins Aerosmith & Yungblud for Explosive New Version of “Wild Woman”

Aerosmith has always been known for bold collaborations, but their latest release might be one of their most exciting genre-crossing moments yet. The legendary rock band has teamed up with British alt–rock star Yungblud and country music powerhouse Lainey Wilson for a brand-new version of their track “Wild Woman.”

And fans across rock, pop, and country are losing their minds.

Aerosmith Drops a Tease — And All Signs Point to Lainey Wilson

Earlier this week, Aerosmith sent fans into detective mode after posting a mysterious Instagram teaser. The clip featured Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and Yungblud, along with a very recognizable accessory:

a signature Charlie 1 Horse cowboy hat — the same hat Lainey Wilson is famous for wearing.

Their caption read:

“A ‘Wild Woman’ feature coming soon.
There was a cowgirl who loved this song so much that we had to add her on! Can you guess who?”

The internet didn’t have to guess for long.
The next day, Aerosmith posted a throwback video of Lainey Wilson performing at Steven Tyler’s Janie’s Fund benefit concert, confirming what fans already suspected.

Lainey herself added fuel to the fire with a comment:

“We’ve gotta get back together again soon… 👀”

Who Is Yungblud and Why This Collaboration Makes Sense

Known for blurring genre lines and injecting emotional intensity into modern rock, Yungblud has quickly become a global alternative icon. He first broke through with his 2018 debut Yungblud, building momentum with The Underrated Youth (2019) and then topping charts with Weird! in 2020.

His connection with Aerosmith is already strong — they’ve recorded several tracks together, including:

  • “One More Time”

  • “My Only Angel”

Adding Lainey Wilson — one of country music’s biggest voices — created the perfect trifecta.

Lainey Wilson Officially Revealed as the Mystery “Wild Woman”

On December 4, the secret was officially out.

All three artists shared a FaceTime video where Yungblud gushes over Lainey Wilson’s instantly recognizable Southern accent:

“I love your accent, man — it’s epic.”

Wearing a cowboy hat “especially for Lainey,” Yungblud walked her through melodic ideas as the clip cut to Wilson in the studio recording her parts. Her smoky, rootsy vocals blend seamlessly with Aerosmith’s gritty rock energy — and fans immediately knew the remix was going to be big.
