Keanu Reeves reveals serious injury he suffered recently while filming latest movie

Keanu Reeves, a widely adored figure across generations, is known for his impeccable reputation. Therefore, when the beloved actor shared news of a recent misfortune, it immediately sparked concern among his many fans.

Keanu Reeves has been hard at work on his latest project, “Good Fortune.” During a recent appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” the actor shared a story that raised concerns among his fans.

The 59-year-old recounted how he broke his kneecap while on set. Known for his roles in action-heavy films such as “The Matrix” and the “John Wick” series, Reeves explained that his injury was caused by something surprisingly minor.

Intrigued, Colbert asked, “What happened? Who got to you?”

Responding with a playful tough guy accent, the actor quipped, “No one got to me,” before clarifying, “It was just an accident.”

Colbert, always keen for details, pressed further, “Were you jumping from building to building? Doing a cartwheel past razor blades? What exactly happened?”

Keanu then lightened the mood, saying, “No, Stephen, I was just walking into the dressing room. Just a room. I’ll keep it quick,” as he began to explain the mundane circumstances leading to his injury.

Keanu explained that the incident occurred during the filming of an upcoming comedy, “Good Fortune,” which stars Aziz Ansari and Seth Rogen. The trio was using a cold plunge, and after they finished, Keanu began doing what he called the “cold shuffle” in a room that was carpeted for safety. Unfortunately, his foot caught in a fold of the carpet.

To illustrate what happened, Keanu stood up and walked in front of Stephen’s desk to demonstrate how his knee suddenly gave out. “And I spiked. Like, spiked,” he described, showing how he drove his knee into the ground.

“My patella, my kneecap, it cracked like a potato chip. But I didn’t realize it at the time. Then I noticed my knee was swelling up,” Keanu continued, recounting the painful aftermath of the accident.

“Comedy is hard, man,” Keanu joked about the incident.

Stephen clarified for the audience, “So this wasn’t an action movie with Aziz and Rogen?”

“No, it was a comedy,” Keanu confirmed with a smile.

“Welcome to my life,” Stephen quipped in response.

In January of this year, Keanu was seen filming on crutches, sporting an ice pack on his knee.

“Good Fortune” not only features Aziz Ansari as a star but also marks his directorial debut. Ansari wrote and co-produced the film, which also stars Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer.
