Kate Hudson Stuns in Her Debut Country Performance, Delivering a Soulful Stapleton Cover and More!

Kate Hudson made her debut live performance in her home state of Colorado, and it was nothing short of magical. On December 28, the 44-year-old Glass Onion star took the stage at Bad Harriet in Aspen, Colorado, marking her first-ever live concert. Known primarily as an actress and businesswoman, Hudson is now determined to add “artist” to her list of accomplishments.

During the intimate show, Hudson shared a series of Instagram photos and videos that captured the spirit of the night. In one snapshot, she was seen smiling and singing from a stool, dressed in a flowing floral gown paired with cowboy boots—a look that perfectly blended elegance with country charm. In another video, the mom of three delivered a soulful rendition of Sinéad O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U.”

But Hudson didn’t stop there. She treated the audience to a diverse setlist, including Chris Stapleton’s “White Horse,” Patty Griffin’s “When It Don’t Come Easy,” Ryan Adams’ “Come Pick Me Up,” and even Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night” from the Barbie soundtrack. A particularly memorable moment came when she engaged with the crowd before performing Tom Petty’s “You Don’t Know How It Feels.” “It’s interesting in an intimate space because you’re all staring at me,” she remarked. “I’m used to my living room where no one is staring at me. Let’s do it.”

As the night drew to a close, Hudson posted a shot of her set list along with a heartfelt message. “Well, on the eve of a new year, I say bring on 2024! I vow to sing and play and love and sing and love some more! Life is too short not to lean into the things you love. Art, entertainment, and the places where we can lose ourselves— we need it, and I’m here for it. So here’s to looking forward and not backward.” She also expressed gratitude for her fans’ support, inviting them to join her on this new musical adventure. “Love you all and hope you join me on this adventure because a wind’s a blowing and I’m going with it. HAPPY NEW YEAR’S EVE! Please be safe and loving to all,” she added.
