Billy Ray Cyrus, 62, Ties the Knot with 34-Year-Old Bride Firerose – Fans Notice Surprising Detail

“Achy Breaky Heart” crooner Billy Ray Cyrus and his third wife, singer Firerose, exchanged vows in October 2023.

Speculation about their engagement arose when Firerose shared a snapshot flaunting a diamond ring on her finger on Sept. 13, 2022. It later emerged that Billy had popped the question months earlier.

Recalling the proposal, Firerose shared, “Billy looked at me and said, ‘Do you, do you wanna marry me?’ And I was just like, ‘Of course I do. I love you.’ He said, ‘I love you. I wanna make this official. I wanna be with you forever.'”

The duo’s initial encounter dates back 12 years ago, during Billy Ray Cyrus’s time filming Hannah Montana, when Firerose attended an audition for a role on the show.

Reflecting on their first meeting, Billy shared a nostalgic memory, “There were a couple of old pine trees on the lot that reminded me of Tennessee. Tex, my dog, and I would go out there in the middle of the day, and he’d do his thing. We’d stretch, and I’d think about how much I missed Tennessee. On that particular day, Firerose emerged from the front door. There was almost a moment of, I don’t know, recognition. I thought, ‘This girl’s a star.’”

He continued, “She mentioned she had an audition, and I said, ‘Well, I’m sure you got the job.’”

Although Firerose didn’t secure the part, the two maintained contact.

“I just thought, well, the casting agents, the producers, the writers, they’re all on the floor of where we do Hannah Montana. And I actually said to her, ‘Don’t ever take a strange man up on this offer, but, in this case, Tex will testify that you will be totally safe,’” Billy reminisced.

“I offered to introduce her to a producer, giving her the chance to observe our rehearsals at ease, with the possibility of it leading to a role or simply expanding her network at Disney. So, the three of us headed back to the studio—myself, her, and Tex. She got to mingle with the cast, meet producers, and writers. Over time, we developed a genuine friendship,” Billy recounted.

In August 2022, he proposed, and shortly after, she moved in with him.

Before marrying Firerose at the age of 34, Billy, aged 62, had spent 28 years married to Tish Cyrus. Together, they have five children: daughters Miley, Noah, and Brandi, and sons Trace and Braison. Prior to Tish, Billy had a son, Christopher Cody, with Kristen Luckey, his partner before Tish.

Firerose, a talented singer-songwriter in her own right, joined forces with her husband on several musical projects. Their most recent endeavor included a rendition of “Silent Night” and the release of their fourth single together, titled “Plans,” along with its accompanying music video, which premiered exclusively via People magazine.

“‘Plans’ is such a radiant song filled with love and fervor. Every member of the team brought their absolute best to the set. I can’t wait for fans to witness what we’ve crafted!” exclaimed Firerose.

When the couple shared snapshots from their wedding day, they were inundated with well-wishes from fans celebrating their union. However, amidst the flood of congratulations, one aspect caught the attention of many: Billy’s hair. Some individuals couldn’t resist commenting on it.

“Couldn’t he have taken a moment to comb his hair for the occasion?” queried one observer. “Was a comb nowhere to be found?” echoed another. “With all that wealth, couldn’t he afford a hairbrush?” teased a third.
