Alan Jackson’s Grandkids Just Saw Him Live for the First Time And Their Reaction Says It All
|Alan Jackson’s Grandkids Just Attended Their First Concert — And It Was Grandaddy on Stage
For over 40 years, Alan Jackson has filled arenas with timeless country hits. But last weekend in Tampa, Florida, the country legend played to his most meaningful audience yet: his two young grandsons.
At just 2 years old, Jackson Alvie Bradshaw and 10-month-old Wesley Alan Smith don’t quite know their grandaddy is a music icon. But on April 26, at Amalie Arena, they got their first real taste of what he’s all about — from the best seats in the house.
Wearing baby headphones and wide-eyed with wonder, the boys lit up the big screen during Alan’s Last Call: One More for the Road Tour. It was a family affair, with daughters Mattie and Alexandra, their husbands, Denise Jackson, and the grandkids all there to cheer him on.
Mattie shared the moment on Instagram, writing:
“There’s no telling how many shows I’ve been at in my life, but my goodness was this one special for all of us… Wesley’s too young to get it, of course, but to have pictures and videos and memories of their Grandaddy perform is priceless.”
One photo shows little Wesley ready to rock in his headphones, but the last shot steals the show — a stadium screen capture of the family smiling and waving from their seats, pure joy radiating from the frame.
The moment was set to Alan’s classic hit “Little Bitty” — fitting for a night filled with small but unforgettable moments.
With just two shows left, including the ACM Awards on May 8 and a final stop in Milwaukee on May 17, Jackson is wrapping up a legendary touring career — not with glitz and glam, but with family by his side.

Because to the world, he’s Alan Jackson.
But to two little boys in the crowd, he’s just Grandaddy — the man who once lit up the stage… and still makes a stadium feel like home.
