A Striking Resemblance to Her Model Mother, Anna Nicole Smith

Anna Nicole Smith and Larry Birkhead’s daughter, Dannielynn, has turned 17 and is the spitting image of her late mother.

“Happy 17th Birthday Dannielynn! I am so proud of you in every possible way. Hope you have the best day ever!” Larry shared in a heartfelt Instagram video, chronicling her growth through the years.

“You are funny, incredibly smart, beautiful, and everything I could have hoped for,” he continued. “Your mom would be so proud of you, and I certainly am. Happy Birthday! Love, Dad.”

Larry also joked, “By the way, when you asked if you could live in my basement forever, I said yes. But I didn’t have the heart to tell you we don’t have basements in Florida.”

Anna Nicole Smith, a Playboy model and actress, tragically passed away in February 2007 at the age of 39 due to an accidental overdose when Dannielynn was just five months old.

Larry Birkhead has since raised his daughter as a single father. He was confirmed as Dannielynn’s biological father following a DNA test, distinguishing him from Smith’s partner Howard K. Stern, who was also an attorney embroiled in Smith’s legal fight over the estate of her late husband, J. Howard Marshall, a billionaire 26 years her senior.

Throughout her childhood, Larry has often shared photos of Danniellyn, showcasing her remarkable resemblance to her famous mother.

Larry and his daughter Dannielynn enjoy spending a lot of time together. They make it a tradition to celebrate the Kentucky Derby annually, and they recently attended a Duran Duran concert to celebrate Father’s Day.

Like many parents of teenagers, Larry often finds himself the target of Dannielynn’s playful humor.

“Nothing like trying to have a serious conversation with your kid and instead getting trolled with the worst pictures ever taken of you on their cell phone,” he shared on Instagram in June, alongside a photo of Dannielynn showing off a particularly unflattering selfie of him. “I can’t be the only parent dealing with this!”

Anna Nicole passed away in 2007, yet Dannielynn and Larry continue to honor her memory through keepsakes and stories about her life. “Larry frequently speaks about Dannielynn’s mom,” an insider notes. “After Anna’s passing, Larry promised everyone that he would keep her memory alive, and he has faithfully done so. While he is quite private about Dannielynn, he consistently reminds her of her mom and tells her daily how much she resembles her. She is the very image of her mother, and Larry cherishes this.”
