Born in Pasadena, California, into a working-class showbiz family, Field’s journey to stardom wasn’t easy. In her memoirs, she opened up about the painful challenges she faced, including abuse by her stepfather and a secret abortion at 17. Yet, through it all, Sally Field has become a beloved and humble figure in Hollywood, continuing to shine with roles like Janice in the 2020 TV series *Dispatches From Elsewhere* and Jessie Buss in the 2022 series *Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty*. Her resilience and ongoing success are a testament to her incredible talent and strength.

During a December 1 episode of *Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen*, Field was asked by a fan to reveal her least favorite on-screen kiss. Though initially reluctant, Field eventually disclosed that her worst kiss was with Burt Reynolds, her former boyfriend and co-star in *Smokey and the Bandit*. She joked that it might come as a “shocker” and explained that the kiss was challenging because Reynolds wasn’t very skilled at it, leading to a lot of “drooling” on his part.

Field and Reynolds met while working on the film in 1977 and dated for about five years. Despite the chemistry they shared on screen, Reynolds, who passed away in 2018, later expressed regret about their relationship in his memoir, wishing he had tried harder to make it work. Field, however, explained to *Variety* that she had stopped speaking with Reynolds in the last 30 years of his life because he wasn’t good for her. She mentioned that Reynolds had idealized their past relationship, which she found difficult to reconcile with her own experience.
