People figure out why Elon Musk’s son, “Little X,” told Trump to “s.h.u.s.h his mouth.”
|Elon Musk’s son, X Æ A-12, stole the spotlight during his visit to the White House this week, drawing attention for his behavior and an unexpected remark directed at the President.
The four-year-old, known as X, proved to be quite the distraction during the Oval Office meeting, making faces, climbing on his father, and even appearing to wipe his nose on the historic Resolute Desk.
The visit took place as Musk, 53, and Trump, 78, addressed questions following the signing of an executive order requiring government agencies to collaborate with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to cut costs, despite opposition.
However, it was Little X’s interaction with Trump that sparked the most discussion online. Many believe he told the former president, “I want you to s.h.u.t your mouth up,” while others claim he said, “You are not the president; you need to go away.”
A viral tweet on Musk’s platform, X, shared a clip of the moment, suggesting that the child told Trump, “I want you to s.h.u.s.h your mouth.” The post has racked up 44,000 likes, fueling speculation about where X might have picked up the phrase.
One user suggested, “I think the right way to read this kind of behavior is that he heard it from his dad,” a bold claim considering Musk and Trump’s close friendship. Many others chimed in, agreeing that children often repeat what they hear from adults.
Some, however, speculated that X wasn’t even addressing Trump but rather someone else in the room. “I think he was talking to a reporter on his left,” one person suggested.
Amid the online frenzy, X’s mother, Grimes (Claire Boucher), weighed in on the situation. Responding to a post about her son’s Oval Office appearance, she wrote, “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”
