OMG… I Wasn’t Expecting This to Be So Delicious! A New Family Favorite

This recipe transforms the classic flavors of apple pie into a delicious and convenient bread. Perfect for a cozy fall treat, this apple pie bread is bursting with apple flavor and warm spices.

  • Apple pie filling: 1 can (21 oz), mashed
  • Yellow cake mix: 1 box
  • Eggs: 4, slightly beaten
  • Self-rising flour: 1 cup
  • Ground cinnamon: 1 tablespoon
  • Apple: 1 medium, chopped

  1. Prepare the Apples: Mash the apple pie filling in a bowl until it has a chunky consistency, leaving some larger pieces for extra texture.
  2. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the yellow cake mix, self-rising flour, and ground cinnamon.
  3. Mix Wet and Dry Ingredients: Add the slightly beaten eggs to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  4. Fold in Apples: Gently fold in the mashed apple pie filling and chopped apple pieces until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  5. Prepare to Bake: Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease two loaf pans.
  6. Fill and Sprinkle: Pour the batter evenly into the prepared loaf pans. Optionally, sprinkle the top of each loaf with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Bake Until Golden Brown: Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool and Enjoy: Let the bread cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy your delicious homemade apple pie bread!
