Miranda Lambert Mourns the Loss of Her Beloved Mini Horses, Sugar Pie and Adrianna

Miranda Lambert is grieving two heartbreaking losses on her Tennessee farm. Over the weekend, the country music icon shared with fans that her beloved mini horses, Sugar Pie and Adrianna, both passed away — companions she cherished for nearly two decades.

Lambert posted a collection of photos and videos celebrating their lives, along with a message that showed just how deeply they meant to her.

“My sweet little nuggets Sugar Pie and Adrianna crossed over the rainbow bridge today. I’ve had 18 years with these littles and I can’t tell you how much joy they brought me.”

A Bond Built on Joy, Care, and Years of Memories

Miranda has long been open about her love of animals, and these two mini horses were among her most cherished. She reflected on the happiness they brought her throughout 18 years of tours, milestones, and life changes — and on the support she received from the people who helped care for them.

“The best part about being an animal mom is the joy. The worst part is when the time comes to say goodbye. Full of gratitude for them and for Tommy, Julia and Sarah and everyone who helped take care of them and give them the best life when I was on the road all these years.”

Lambert ended her message with a loving farewell:

“Godspeed little bittys. I know you are both in greener pastures as I type this. I’ll see y’all again one day. Big love.”

The post quickly filled with messages of sympathy. Friends like Junk Gypsy wrote, “All horses go to heaven. So sorry Ran,” while fans offered virtual hugs, prayers, and condolences. Many praised Lambert for giving her horses such a long, happy, and well-loved life.

A Lifelong Advocate for Animals

Miranda Lambert’s love for animals is no secret. Beyond her own farm full of rescues, dogs, horses, and other animals, she continues to champion the welfare of pets through her MuttNation Foundation, a nonprofit she co-founded with her mother Bev in 2009.

The 501(c)(3) organization has raised more than $10 million to:

  • Promote the adoption of shelter pets

  • Provide spay and neuter support

  • Assist rescue organizations during natural disasters

  • Educate the public on responsible pet care

Programs like the MuttNation-Tractor Supply Relief For Rescues Fund offer emergency assistance after storms and floods, while the “It Takes Balls” program focuses on expanding spay and neuter efforts across the country.

MuttNation also partners with Tractor Supply Company to offer a line of toys and supplies — MuttNation Fueled by Miranda Lambert — with proceeds helping support more shelters and rescue animals nationwide.

A Tribute Full of Love

As Miranda mourns Sugar Pie and Adrianna, she continues to celebrate their lives and the joy they brought her. For fans who have followed her journey over the years, her heartfelt tribute is a reminder of the compassion, warmth, and deep love for animals that have always been part of her story.
