“Meghan Markle Reportedly Considers Leaving the U.S. After Presidential Results”

Meghan Markle is reportedly disappointed with recent political events in the United States, as Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris in the latest presidential election. Sources close to the Duchess of Sussex say the outcome has deeply affected her, as she had hoped for a Harris victory.

Following the election, royal commentators have speculated that Meghan may be rethinking her residence in the U.S. due to the result. Unlike in previous years, Meghan and Prince Harry opted to stay relatively quiet during this election, choosing instead to promote voter turnout without openly supporting any specific candidate.

Charlotte Griffiths, editor at The Daily Mail, noted that Meghan is likely “deeply upset” about the prospect of Donald Trump’s leadership, given her past criticisms of him. Griffiths suggested that Meghan might even consider relocating, as her previous comments indicate she has strong feelings about Trump’s stance on certain issues.

Trump, meanwhile, has been openly critical of Meghan and Harry, especially regarding their relationship with the late Queen. In a recent appearance on GB News, when asked about any “special privileges” for Prince Harry, Trump bluntly responded, “No. He won’t have any,” referencing Harry’s past admissions about drug use detailed in his memoir, Spare.

Griffiths also mentioned Harry’s recent property purchase in Portugal, hinting that the move could offer the Sussexes a potential escape should they wish to leave the United States. Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams shared his view, acknowledging that while Harry’s past actions could invite scrutiny, it’s unlikely Trump would take any drastic steps against him.

While the Sussexes kept a low profile during the election, encouraging voting without endorsing a candidate, Fitzwilliams also addressed ongoing rumors about Meghan’s potential political ambitions. However, he noted there is no indication that she has immediate plans to pursue a political career.
