Lainey Wilson Shines with Bon Jovi Cover at Jelly Roll’s Goodnight Nashville Opening
|Lainey Wilson just proved, once again, why she’s one of country music’s most electrifying voices. Taking the stage at the grand opening of Jelly Roll’s Goodnight Nashville, she delivered a powerful, show-stopping cover of Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ On A Prayer”—and the crowd went wild.
Her performance wasn’t just a tribute to a rock classic; it was a celebration of her friendship and musical bond with Jelly Roll. The two have become inseparable in country music, with Wilson joining him in 2023 for “Save Me”, a duet from his debut country album, Whitsitt Chapel. The song earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, further solidifying their connection.
A Broadway Takeover: Wilson & Jelly Roll’s Nashville Bars
Wilson and Jelly Roll’s friendship extends beyond the stage—they’re also Broadway neighbors. Jelly Roll’s newly opened Goodnight Nashville, located at 209 Broadway, is just steps away from Wilson’s own Bell Bottoms Up Bar at 120 3rd Avenue South.
Wilson, who had long envisioned having her own venue in Nashville, made that dream a reality with Bell Bottoms Up Bar, which embodies her signature “Bell Bottom Country” style.
“For years, I’ve said if I had a bar on Broadway, I wanted it to be called Bell Bottoms Up,” Wilson shared with Fox Business. “I want people to come in, be themselves, and lean into the things that make them who they are. It’s going to tell a story—I’m a sucker for a good story.”
Her bar now sits in the former home of Florida Georgia Line’s FGL House, which closed following the duo’s split.
Chart-Topping Success & a Bright Future
Beyond being good friends and business neighbors, Wilson and Jelly Roll are dominating the charts at the same time. Jelly Roll currently holds the No. 1 spot with “Liar”, while Wilson is right behind him at No. 2 with “4X4XU”, a song inspired by her fiancé, Devlin “Duck” Hodges.
With their shared friendship, music, and now Nashville hotspots, Wilson and Jelly Roll are proving they’re more than just country superstars—they’re unstoppable forces shaping the future of the genre.
