Luke Combs & Eric Church’s “Concert For Carolina”
One major effort by country music stars was their recent benefit, the “Concert for Carolina.” The concert featured some of country music’s most well-known names, including Keith Urban, Scotty McCreery, Chase Rice, and New Artist of the Year nominee Bailey Zimmerman. The concert was a massive success. It raised $24 million for relief aid and was attended by over 82,000 people, the largest crowd in Bank of America stadium history.
Eric Church to Build 100 Homes
Eric Church has launched a powerful new initiative to support hurricane victims, announcing plans to build 100 homes for those who lost everything. He shared this vision during the “Concert for Carolina” through his Chief Cares Foundation.
The project, called “A Blueprint for the Blue Ridge,” will begin by constructing 100 homes for families in Avery County and nearby areas. Afterward, the initiative will turn its focus toward additional community needs. According to Church’s statement:
“Our mission in North Carolina is to be here for the long haul. We’re starting by building homes for 100 families in Avery County and surrounding areas to preserve and rebuild these communities. With ‘Blueprint for the Blue Ridge,’ we’ll also support long-term needs like creating jobs, rebuilding schools, and strengthening local businesses.”
Church expressed his commitment to restoring the community’s former glory and emphasized his determination to see this vision through to completion. Too often, the news cycle shifts focus, leaving communities with unmet needs. He also said:
“Often when disaster strikes, funds flow in from great people wanting to help, but when the world turns its eye to the next devastation, a lot can get lost and fall through the cracks. We are committed to the long-term rebuilding of these communities.”
