Despite these challenges, John remains positive and thankful for the overwhelming support, showcasing the enduring charm that makes him a beloved figure both on and off the stage.

John is rarely seen on stage without his iconic sunglasses. He once shared, “I tried performing without them in the early Eighties but felt vulnerable. The glasses are more than a style statement—they boost my confidence. I’m just not myself without them.”

John, who has donned countless pairs of glasses over the years, possesses a keen insight into what constitutes a high-quality frame. His expertise is showcased in his first standalone boutique, located on Greek Street.

The boutique features a wall adorned with 158 pairs of optical frames and sunglasses, all designed by him. Many are inspired by the iconic styles he has worn on stage throughout his career. He proudly noted that he wears these designs regularly.
