Dolly Parton Postpones Las Vegas Shows, Citing “Health Challenges”
Country music icon Dolly Parton has announced that she will be postponing her upcoming Las Vegas residency due to ongoing health concerns.

The 79-year-old legend was originally scheduled to perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from December 4 to December 13, 2025, but those shows have now been rescheduled for September 2026.
In a heartfelt message shared Sunday, Dolly addressed her fans directly:
“I want the fans to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,” she wrote.
“A Few Health Challenges”
The beloved Jolene singer explained that she’s been facing some “health challenges” and has been advised by her doctors to undergo “a few procedures.”
With her signature humor, Dolly added a playful note:
“It’s time for my 100,000-mile check-up — although it’s not my usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”
She emphasized that she wants to give fans her very best performance and simply doesn’t have enough time to rehearse while taking care of her health.
“You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you.”
“God Hasn’t Said Anything About Stopping Yet”
Dolly reassured fans that this is only a temporary pause, not a farewell.
“Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business, because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet,” she wrote.
“But I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.”
While she didn’t specify the nature of her health issues, this year has already been emotionally difficult for the superstar. In March 2025, Dolly’s husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, passed away at age 82.
In later interviews, Dolly said she was “okay” but admitted she will always miss him deeply.

A Missed Dollywood Appearance
Just two weeks before her announcement, Dolly had to cancel an appearance at Dollywood, her theme park in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
She was scheduled to unveil the park’s new attraction, Night Flight Expedition, on September 17, but instead greeted fans through a pre-recorded video.
“Hello Dollywood! It’s me,” she said with a smile. “I know — you’re wondering why I’m not there. Well, I had a little problem.”
Dolly went on to reveal that she had suffered from a kidney stone that caused an infection, leading her doctor to insist she rest.
“The doctor said, ‘You don’t need to be traveling right this minute, so you need a few days to get better.’ I was looking so forward to it, but I’m there with you in spirit.”
Fans Flood Dolly With Love
The announcement sparked an outpouring of support from fans and fellow artists alike.
Singer Jennifer Nettles commented,
“Big adventures for you, for sure! Can’t wait to enjoy them with you! In the meantime, tend to yourself and feel better!”
Others echoed the same love and patience:
“We love you, sweet Dolly. You’re always taking care of the world — now take some time to take care of you!”
And one fan summed it up perfectly:
“We can wait till you’re ready, Queen.” 👑💖

A Pause, Not a Goodbye
While Dolly may be stepping back for now, she made it clear this isn’t the end — just a necessary intermission. Her health comes first, and her fans, as always, are right behind her.
After all, as Dolly herself said,
“God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet.” 🙏✨
