Clint Black & Lisa Hartman Black Celebrate 34 Years of Timeless Love

Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black are celebrating 34 beautiful years of marriage, and their love story still feels like something straight out of a country song.

Lisa first met Clint backstage on New Year’s Eve in 1990, after one of his concerts. She later told PEOPLE the moment felt like a scene from a movie:

“It was slow motion, like you see in the movies. There was something there.”

Just a few months later, that spark turned into forever.
The couple said “I do” on October 20, 1991, during a stunning ceremony held on Clint’s farm in Texas — the perfect setting for a country love story built to last a lifetime.

“When I Said I Do” — A Love Song That Lasts Forever

Eight years after their wedding, Clint and Lisa said “I do” again — this time through music.
In 1999, they released their now-iconic duet “When I Said I Do,” and it captured hearts across the world.

The song became a #1 country hit and climbed to #34 on the Billboard Hot 100, proving that their love — and their harmony — was something truly special.

Even 25 years later, the song remains one of the greatest country love songs ever recorded, a timeless promise set to melody.

Family, Faith & Forever

In 2001, Clint and Lisa welcomed their daughter Lily Pearl, who’s now following in her parents’ musical footsteps.
After Lily’s birth, Lisa stepped back from the spotlight to focus on family, while Clint continued touring and recording.

Then in 2020, the couple delighted fans once again by appearing as The Snow Owls on The Masked Singer.
They were the first duo to ever compete on the show — and, as always, they did it together.

“We had never done anything like this,” Lisa shared. “So we really leaned on each other.”

Still In Tune, After All These Years

Over three decades later, Clint and Lisa continue to record duets, tour together, and now even share the stage with their daughter, Lily.

When asked about the secret to their lasting love, Clint shared words that every couple could learn from:

“Love is something that you nurture and protect. We’ve grown together in our relationship and never apart.”

After 34 years of love, laughter, and harmony, one thing’s for sure — their story isn’t just a love song.
It’s a lifetime duet.

Here’s to many more years of music, marriage, and magic for Clint and Lisa Black.
