Brad Pitt’s Heartwarming Gesture: Offering Rent-Free Residence to 105-Year-Old Neighbor on His $40 Million Property, Reveals Elvira

In 1994, Cassandra Peterson, better known as “Elvira,” made headlines when she sold her home to Brad Pitt. In a recent interview with People magazine, Peterson revealed a fascinating anecdote about Pitt’s dual role as a homeowner and a compassionate landlord.

At the age of 54, Brad Pitt purchased a 1.9-acre property from Peterson for $1.7 million. He maintained ownership of the property for three decades until March of this year.During an exclusive interview with People magazine, Peterson unveiled the narrative behind the sale to the Academy Award winner, elucidating their close proximity and Pitt’s unexpected act of kindness towards one of the property’s previous inhabitants.

Peterson recounted that Pitt’s choice to enlarge the property triggered a sequence of noteworthy occurrences. “There were like 22 houses contiguous to the edge of the property. And every time they came up, he bought one,” Peterson elaborated.

Among these properties was one inhabited by a 90-year-old man. Pitt struck a deal with him, allowing the man to continue residing on the family’s estate until his passing.

“He was very, very kind to the husband. His wife passed away, and the husband, John, lived there,” Peterson recalled. “I know that Brad allowed him to live there without paying anything until he died.”

Surprisingly, the gentleman surpassed all expectations, reaching the remarkable age of 105. Peterson humorously remarked, “He just kept defying the odds. I suppose Brad must have been thinking, well, he can stay there until he kicks the bucket, which could be any moment now.”

Having purchased a house adjacent to her former property, Peterson developed a neighborly bond with Pitt over the years, describing him as kind and generous. She fondly recalled an amusing incident when she encountered Pitt in his garage while walking her dog.

“As I passed by Brad’s garage, there he was, clad only in sweatpants, sporting boxing gloves and fiercely punching a bag. I swear, I nearly fainted,” Peterson recounted. Despite her astonishment, Pitt warmly greeted her, leaving her momentarily speechless.

“He’s just so stunningly, stunningly handsome — and nice, to top it off,” Peterson concluded. The recently sold home is the same property where Pitt lived with his former wife, Angelina Jolie, and their children before their separation in 2016.
