Ashley McBryde Launches Nashville’s First Non-Alcoholic Music Bar

Country star Ashley McBryde just announced a game-changer for Lower Broadway: a bar called Redemption that puts sober socializing front and center. Unveiled on August 1, the venue—tucked inside Eric Church’s Chief’s—will officially open its doors on August 28.

What Makes Redemption Different?

  • Zero-Proof First: The cocktail list is entirely non-alcoholic, with each drink named after a memorable lyric.
  • Everyone Welcome: Beer, wine, and standard cocktails will still be available so friends who do drink won’t feel left out.
  • Original Music Only: Instead of endless cover bands, the stage will spotlight emerging songwriters performing their own material.

“I wanted a place where not drinking is normal,” McBryde says. “A space that lifts up people who sometimes get brushed aside and makes everyone feel at home.”

The Personal Story Behind the Bar

McBryde quietly celebrated three years of sobriety this spring—a journey she kept private until she hit the one-year mark. The decision, she explains, was about reclaiming focus:

“Part of being the whiskey-drinking badass is knowing when to set it down,” she told PEOPLE. “Alcohol had started costing me too much, and I’m not willing to trade what I love for anything.”

Why This Matters

Redemption will be the first spot on Broadway where fans can catch live country music and sip thoughtfully crafted mocktails without feeling like they’re missing out. For McBryde, it’s about widening Nashville’s welcome mat—proving you don’t need booze to enjoy Music City’s legendary nightlife.
