Ageless Grace: 88-Year-Old Dancer Stuns AGT Judges with a Show-Stopping Performance

During her audition on *America’s Got Talent*, 88-year-old exotic dancer Penny Starr Sr. delivered an “unpredictable” performance that left both the judges and audience in awe. Known as America’s senior burlesque dancer, Penny is celebrated as a national treasure.

Hailing from Palm Bay, Florida, Penny graced the AGT stage adorned in red, white, and blue feathers. “I want to give America a real show, a get-up-and-go show!” declared the vibrant octogenarian.

When Simon Cowell asked if she was single, Penny humorously replied that she was a widow with six husbands. Simon, intrigued, asked if she was open to a seventh marriage. With a cheeky grin, Penny quipped, “Yes, but it takes some time to break them in.”

Penny kicked off her routine to the tune of “You’re a Grand Old Flag,” and as she began to shed her layers of clothing, the judges were delighted. Emcee Terry Crews showered the stage in red, white, and blue confetti, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. Sofia Vergara, clearly impressed, exclaimed, “Penny, I want to be you when I grow up,” while Heidi Klum offered her enthusiastic support.

Simon, clearly captivated by Penny’s charm, couldn’t resist flirting with the sassy senior. He then posed a daring question that would determine her future on the show: “Would more clothing fall off if you went forward?” Without missing a beat, Penny assured him that she would be more than happy to oblige.

Howie Mandel, eager for more, declared, “I want to see more!” Penny’s performance earned her four yeses from the judges. However, despite advancing to the next round, the AGT judges had to narrow the competition to just 54 acts out of 138, bringing an end to Penny’s unforgettable journey on the show.
