4-Year-Old From Small Missouri Town Steals Hearts Singing Lainey Wilson’s Song — Even Lainey Herself Responded!
From a town of just 600 people, a little girl with a big voice has captured the nation’s heart — and even caught the attention of country superstar Lainey Wilson.

Four-year-old Amelia Wigger from Viburnum, Missouri, stunned the crowd at her local Tiny Tot Pageant when she walked on stage in pink cowboy boots, a fringe denim jacket, and a confidence that could light up the room. Her performance of “Somewhere Over Laredo” — a heartfelt Lainey Wilson hit — turned a small-town event into a viral sensation.
Within days, Amelia’s video spread across TikTok and Facebook, drawing in hundreds of thousands of views and comments from fans around the world. But the biggest surprise came when Lainey Wilson herself shared the clip, writing:
“This little gal’s got more heart than most of Nashville. Amelia, you made my week!”
A Tiny Town, a Big Voice
Amelia’s mom, Averie, told Country Now that the Tiny Tot Pageant is an annual tradition at their local fall festival. “Last year, Amelia won the pageant by shooting her bow and arrow at a fake deer,” Averie laughed. “This year she came back to retire her crown — and show off another one of her talents: singing.”
Despite it being her first time performing in front of a crowd, Amelia didn’t flinch.
“She said she wasn’t scared or nervous at all! We were so proud of her courage,” her mom said.

Channeling Her Hero
A devoted fan of Lainey Wilson, Amelia made sure every detail of her outfit matched her idol — right down to the bell-bottoms, western belt, cowboy hat, and Lainey Wilson T-shirt. “She’s been singing since she could hum along to songs at a year old,” Averie said. “She knows every word on Lainey’s Whirlwind album!”
When asked why she chose that song, Amelia simply said: “Lainey has blonde hair like me and rides horses like me — I want to be just like her when I grow up!”
Lainey Responds
When Lainey Wilson saw the video, she left a comment that sent Amelia’s family into tears:
“Superstar!! Killlllllled it sister!”
Moments later, Lainey reshared the video on her Instagram Story, amplifying the young girl’s performance to millions of her fans. “When I told Millie, she said, ‘Mom, you mean the real Lainey Wilson?’” Averie recalled with a laugh. “We were absolutely shaking with excitement.”

Next Stop: Her First Concert
Now, Amelia’s journey is about to come full circle. On October 16, she’ll be attending her very first concert — Lainey Wilson’s Whirlwind Tour stop at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in St. Louis, Missouri.
“A friend of mine scored us six general admission tickets,” Averie said. “I can’t wait to watch her experience this all and take it in. I know it’ll be a moment she never forgets.”
