Toby Keith Officially Added to Nashville’s Iconic Legends Corner Mural—And the Detail Will Make You Cry

Nashville just got a little more legendary.

If you have ever walked down Broadway in Downtown Nashville, you know that the west wall of Legends Corner is sacred ground. Since 1996, that iconic mural has stood at the corner of Broadway and 5th Avenue, featuring the absolute royalty of country music history sharing a drink together at the bar.

And now, a giant has finally taken his rightful place among them. Toby Keith has officially been added to the Legends Corner mural. But it’s how they painted him that is breaking the internet and moving fans to tears. Nashville-based artist Tim Davis painted Toby exactly the way every single country music fan would have wanted: Smiling proud, and raising a Red Solo Cup. 🥤✨

Standing With the Greatest

Toby now stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the absolute pillars of the genre—Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Willie Nelson, Reba McEntire, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn, and Miranda Lambert.

The tribute was quietly added, cementing his legacy more than a year after he tragically passed away on February 5, 2024, at the age of 62, following his courageous battle with stomach cancer.

As Whiskey Riff’s Quinn Eaton so beautifully put it: “I just wish he would have been able to see it himself.”

Raise ‘Em Up One Time

Toby spent his entire career lifting up the American spirit, honoring our troops, and reminding us to never take life too seriously. Seeing him up on that wall, holding that famous red cup high in the air, feels like he’s looking down on Music City and telling us all to keep the party going.

The industry can give out trophies, but this? This is permanent country music history. If you ever find yourself walking down Broadway, do yourself a favor: stop at that wall, look up, and raise one for the man who gave us everything.

The Big Dog Daddy is finally home. 🕊️❤️
