“Little Mini Reba” Riley Green Calls 15-Year-Old Allie Rae After Her performance of Lainey Wilson’s “4x4xU,” on The Voice
At just 15 years old, Allie Rae is already making a strong impression on NBC’s The Voice. After her performance of Lainey Wilson’s “4x4xU,” coach Riley Green compared her to one of country music’s biggest legends: Reba McEntire.

The young Team Riley singer took on the challenging song during Cut Week, a high-stakes round that put contestants under enormous pressure. With more than half of the remaining artists facing elimination, Allie needed to deliver a memorable performance — and she did just that.
Her vocals, confidence, and growing stage presence quickly caught the coaches’ attention.
Riley Green Sees a Little Reba in Allie Rae
Green was clearly impressed by what he saw and had a special comparison for his young contestant.
“Allie Rae, I loved it. Everything about it was great, like a little mini Reba. You’re so fierce. We got to see the best version of you in that performance. I really loved it,” he said.
Being compared to Reba McEntire is no small compliment. Known for her unmistakable voice and commanding stage presence, Reba has become one of the most influential figures in country music.
Green also praised how much Allie had developed since her blind audition.
“Allie Rae’s definitely grown from her blind and in a short period of time too, she’s only 15 years old, but her stage presence doesn’t feel that way,” he added.
Kelly Clarkson Praises Her Natural Storytelling
Riley wasn’t the only coach impressed by the performance. Kelly Clarkson was amazed by Allie’s talent at such a young age.
“Oh my gosh, girl, you are 15 years old. That is crazy,” Clarkson told her. “Regardless of what happens right now, you are so far ahead of the game, you are going to be incredible.”
She also described Allie as a “natural born little storyteller,” recognizing the way she brings personality and emotion to a song.
Will Allie Rae Make the Top 12?
Cut Week was one of the toughest stages of the competition, reducing the remaining 28 artists to just 12. Allie was among those still fighting for a place in the next round.
She had another opportunity through the Cut Week Favorite vote, which allowed viewers to help one of the 16 remaining artists earn a spot in the Top 12 ahead of the Live Shows.
Whatever the outcome, Allie has already earned memorable praise from two of the show’s coaches. At just 15, she is showing growing confidence, a natural connection with country music, and the potential to become an artist worth watching.
And when your coach is Riley Green and he calls you a “little mini Reba,” that’s certainly a moment to remember.
