“Kelly Clarkson Stuns with Regal Performance of ‘Sisters’ on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show'”

Kelly Clarkson delivered a festive tribute to the holiday classic White Christmas on Monday (Dec. 19) with a “Kellyoke” rendition of “Sisters.”

Joined by her backup singer Jessi Collins, Clarkson recreated the iconic performance originally made famous by Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen in the beloved 1954 movie musical. The duo donned elegant blue dresses and wielded giant feathered fans, paying meticulous attention to detail from the film. Together, they harmonized the playful lyrics:

“Sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sisters/ Never had to have a chaperone, no sir/ I’m here to keep my eye on her/ Caring, sharing, every little thing that we are wearing/ When a certain gentleman arrived from Rome/ She wore the dress, and I stayed home.”

Halfway through the performance, two male members of Clarkson’s band, Y’All, humorously joined in by grabbing the fans and lip-syncing—mimicking the antics of Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye in the movie. The playful moment ended with all four performers coming together for some soft-shoe choreography.

As the holiday season unfolded, Clarkson fully embraced the yuletide spirit with a wide array of performances. These included her original songs like “Merry Christmas (To the One I Used to Know)” and “Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You),” as well as covers such as “Santa Can’t You Hear Me” (sans Ariana Grande) and “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.”

Looking ahead to the new year, Clarkson is set to return as a coach for her ninth season on The Voice after a brief hiatus during Season 22.
