Country music star John Rich has officially taken on a new role in public service.

On July 10, Rich was sworn in at the White House as the Special Envoy for American Landowners, following his appointment by President Donald Trump.
The ceremony, held in the Oval Office, marks a new chapter for the singer-songwriter, who says he’s committed to standing up for America’s farmers, ranchers, and private property owners.
A New Mission
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Rich will work alongside the USDA to help protect the rights of American landowners.
His responsibilities include advocating for private property rights and helping ensure that farmers and landowners are not subjected to harassment, intimidation, or outside pressure.
Before the ceremony, Rich shared a message on social media expressing his gratitude for the opportunity.

A Long Relationship With President Trump
John Rich and Donald Trump have known each other for more than a decade.
In 2011, Rich won Season 4 of Celebrity Apprentice, hosted by Trump years before his first presidential campaign.
During the competition, Rich raised more than $1.3 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, earning praise not only for his business skills but also for his charitable efforts.
Over the years, Rich has remained outspoken about issues affecting rural America, agriculture, veterans, and conservative values.
From the Stage to Public Service
While millions know John Rich for chart-topping country hits and his work with Big & Rich, this new position places him in a very different spotlight.
