Halo Brows: The Playful, Loopy Beauty Trend Taking Over

Eyebrows have long been the ultimate beauty playground, offering endless opportunities for creativity. A quick scroll through social media reveals a dazzling variety of brow trends—from unicorn horns to Nike swooshes and even fishtail designs.

Just when you thought you’d seen it all, the quirky new halo brows have entered the scene.

Like many unconventional beauty trends, halo brows owe their rise to social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. These spaces have become fertile ground for trends that push the boundaries of traditional beauty norms.

What Are Halo Brows?
Halo brows are exactly what they sound like: an arc that connects both brows into a single, looped design resembling a halo across the forehead. The trend was created by 16-year-old British influencer Hannah Lyne, whose experimental design quickly went viral.

“So me and [a friend] were talking about the fishtail brow trend & then we came up with this,” Lyne wrote on Instagram, where she first introduced the look. Speaking with Pop Sugar, she clarified that the design wasn’t a joke but rather inspired by the fishtail brow craze.

“I was having a conversation with a friend, trying to come up with a new idea for a look, and all of a sudden, it came to me—I should connect my brow tails,” Lyne explained.

In an interview with Yahoo Style, she added, “I just want people to embrace being silly and doing weird, creative looks!”

A Polarizing Trend
As with most social media-driven fads, halo brows have sparked a mix of admiration and criticism.

Fans of the look praised Lyne’s originality, with comments like, “I love it!” and “Your ideas are so creative and unique. Your talent is endless!”

Others were less impressed. Negative reactions ranged from confusion to outright disdain. “I can’t tell if she’s joking,” one user wrote, while another quipped, “Instagram? More like Instaregret.”

Some went further, calling the trend “ridiculous” and threatening to “delete Instagram because of this photo.”

However, Cosmopolitan took a more positive stance, dubbing halo brows “strangely beautiful” and praising their unconventional charm.

Creativity Over Convention
Even if halo brows aren’t your cup of tea, they’re a testament to the ever-evolving world of beauty and the creative freedom makeup offers. Whether you love the trend or loathe it, there’s no denying the fun in exploring new ways to express yourself through beauty.

So, what do you think of halo brows? Are you ready to give them a try, or would you prefer to stick with more traditional brow styles? Share your thoughts and pass this story along to spark a conversation!
