George Strait’s New Wrangler Ad Has Fans Falling For The King All Over Again
Some things in country music simply never go out of style — and George Strait wearing Wrangler is one of them.
For more than three decades, Strait and Wrangler have been closely connected, creating one of the most recognizable partnerships in country music. Now, a brand-new commercial is bringing that classic Texas look back into the spotlight, and longtime fans are loving every second of it.

Strait has always embraced the traditional cowboy style: starched Wranglers, a crisp shirt, a great hat and boots. It’s a look that has followed him from the stage to the big screen and become part of his unmistakable image.
His relationship with Wrangler dates back to 1992, when the company supplied clothing for Pure Country, the film Strait starred in. A few years later, in 1995, he appeared in one of his first commercials for the brand.
Then, in 2003, Wrangler launched the George Strait Cowboy Cut Collection, eventually growing into the George Strait Collection featuring jeans, shirts, vests and pullovers.
Now the partnership has entered another chapter.
George Strait Stars In A New Wrangler Commercial
On September 21, Wrangler released a new commercial featuring Strait in different Texas locations while promoting the latest George Strait Collection.
The message of the ad is simple: being an original means staying true to who you are.
Strait reflects on his more than 30 years with Wrangler and how, even as styles change and time moves forward, some things remain the same.
And that message seems to fit Strait perfectly.

At 74, the country legend continues to embody the traditional cowboy image that helped make him one of the most recognizable figures in country music.
Fans Had Plenty To Say
After Strait shared the commercial, longtime fans quickly filled the comments with affection, nostalgia and plenty of compliments.
Some remembered following Strait and his Wrangler style for decades, while others joked about how good the country icon still looks in his signature jeans.
One fan called him “The King of Country,” while another said his Wrangler look had been part of their life for more than 50 years.
Others simply described Strait as “handsome and timeless.”
And perhaps that is exactly why this new commercial struck such a chord.

George Strait has never needed to reinvent himself to remain relevant. The music, the cowboy hat, the boots and, of course, the Wranglers have all become part of a look and identity that fans have loved for generations.
Some styles fade. Some traditions become timeless. And George Strait in Wranglers may be about as country as it gets.
