KID ROCK FIRES BACK After People Try To Get Songs Removed From His First Christian Album: “No One Can Tell Me What To Do!”

Kid Rock is making it clear that he has no plans to back down over his upcoming Christian album, Halfway 2 Jesus. The musician recently revealed that people have been asking him to remove several songs from the project — and his response was unmistakably direct.

The album, scheduled for release on October 17, features collaborations with Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts, Jimmie Allen and Eminem. But before fans even get to hear the full project, Kid Rock says he is already facing requests to change what made the final tracklist.

“No One Can Tell Me What To Do With My Music”

In a social media post, Kid Rock shared his frustration with the requests, asking fans if they could believe people were trying to get him to remove several songs from his new album.

He also joked about the mystery surrounding who was making those requests, adding a laughing emoji as he addressed the questions he was receiving.

Then he made his position clear:

“No one can tell me what to do with my music, never have, never will!”

He followed that statement with a line that reflects his long-standing independent streak: “Ain’t nobody gonna tell me how to live.”

Rather than turning his post into a lengthy argument, Kid Rock also added a lighter message, saying he believes God wants people to laugh, be happy and have fun. He ended by wishing everyone a great weekend.

A Different Chapter In Kid Rock’s Music Career

Halfway 2 Jesus marks a new direction for Kid Rock, who has spent much of his career moving between rock, country, hip-hop and other musical influences.

The project places faith at the center of the conversation, while its guest list brings together artists from different musical backgrounds. Gary LeVox is known for his work with Rascal Flatts, Jimmie Allen built his career in country music, and Eminem is one of hip-hop’s most recognizable names.

That combination alone has made the album an intriguing release for fans wondering what Kid Rock has planned.

Now, his comments about the requests to remove songs have added another layer of curiosity ahead of its arrival.

Fans Are Waiting To Hear The Full Album

Kid Rock has not publicly identified who asked him to remove the songs or specified which tracks were involved in the dispute. His post, however, makes clear that he intends to stand by his musical choices.

With Halfway 2 Jesus set for October 17, listeners will soon have the chance to hear the project for themselves and decide what they think of this new chapter.

For now, Kid Rock’s message is simple: he plans to make his music on his own terms.

And with unexpected collaborations and a faith-centered concept, Halfway 2 Jesus is shaping up to be one of the more talked-about releases of his career.
