American Idol Winner Hannah Harper Pays Tribute to Dolly Parton With a Beautiful Throwback Re-Creation

Some country music moments are special because they bring the past and present together — and Hannah Harper just created one of those moments.

The American Idol winner and her brother, Dalton Harper, recently paid tribute to two country music legends, Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton, by recreating the iconic cover of their 1968 album Just the Two of Us during a visit to Dollywood.

The original album cover captured Wagoner and Parton looking upward together in one of the classic images from their legendary partnership. More than five decades later, Hannah and Dalton decided to recreate that same feeling in their own way.

The result is a fun and nostalgic tribute that connects a new generation of country artists with one of the most memorable chapters in country music history.

Hannah shared the photo on Instagram with a simple message that seemed to say everything:

“This needed its own spot on the feed.”

And honestly, it’s easy to see why. The recreation feels playful, personal and full of appreciation for the music that came before them.

For Hannah and Dalton, the moment was more than just taking a photo at Dollywood. It was a chance to honor the history surrounding Dolly Parton and Porter Wagoner while putting their own family connection into the picture.

More than 50 years after Just the Two of Us was released, that iconic image is still inspiring artists today.

A classic country moment recreated by a brother and sister — and fans are loving the throwback.
