Miranda Lambert’s New Album Is Out Today And Her Long-Awaited Duet With Ella Langley Is Turning Heads

After months of anticipation, Miranda Lambert’s new album, Crisco, has officially arrived — and country fans now have a collaboration they’ve been waiting to hear.

Released Friday, October 2, Crisco marks Lambert’s first album with her new record label, MCA. The 12-track project brings together her familiar country sound with unexpected disco-inspired touches, creating a record that feels both classic and fresh.

But one song in particular is already grabbing attention.

Miranda Lambert and Ella Langley Team Up for “Snakeskin Boots”

The album opens with “Snakeskin Boots,” a brand-new duet featuring Ella Langley, bringing the two country stars together once again.

The collaboration has been a long time coming. Lambert previously worked closely with Langley on her album Dandelion, which Lambert co-produced alongside Langley and Ben West. The pair also helped write Langley’s massive hit “Choosin’ Texas” and previously teamed up on “Butterfly Season.”

Now they’re back together for a song that takes their chemistry in a completely different direction.

“Snakeskin Boots” combines a disco groove with classic Western influences, including an opening that feels like it could have come straight from an old-school cowboy movie.

And Lambert has the perfect description for the song.

She said it has the energy of “Thelma and Louise if they didn’t drive off the cliff.”

That rebellious spirit runs throughout the song, creating a larger-than-life story about two women who aren’t exactly interested in playing by the rules.

Crisco Has More Than One Big Collaboration

Ella Langley isn’t the only special guest on Lambert’s new album.

The 12-track project also includes “A Song To Sing,” Lambert’s Grammy-nominated duet with Chris Stapleton, giving fans another highly anticipated collaboration.

The full tracklist includes:

  1. “Snakeskin Boots” (with Ella Langley)
  2. “Crisco”
  3. “Cowgirl Curtsy”
  4. “Two Things Can Be True”
  5. “Cuttin’ Onions”
  6. “Till The Going’s Gone”
  7. “To Everything”
  8. “Whiskey Business”
  9. “Right Where We Left It”
  10. “A Song To Sing” (with Chris Stapleton)
  11. “I’ll Have To Say I Love You In A Song”
  12. “Sunset Marquis”

Lambert co-produced the album with Jesse Frasure, and the project has been described as a celebration of all the different sides of her artistry — from storyteller and traditionalist to wanderer, romantic, troublemaker and dreamer.

And after waiting months to finally hear “Snakeskin Boots,” fans can now hear the full Miranda Lambert and Ella Langley collaboration.

Two country powerhouses. One pair of snakeskin boots. And a song that sounds like trouble in the best possible way.
