Jelly Roll was sitting in a prison cell serving time for a drug-related conviction when a guard knocked on his door and told him, “You had a kid today.” That was the moment everything changed. Jelly Roll credits Bailee’s birth as the spark that forced him to turn his life around.

“I’ve never had nothing in life that urged me in the moment to know that I had to do something different,” he told Billboard. “I have to figure this out right now.”

Breaking the Cycle
