Alan Jackson Welcomes New Granddaughter as Family Celebrates Growing Generation

Country music legend Alan Jackson has another beautiful reason to celebrate. The Country Music Hall of Famer is officially a grandfather again after the arrival of his daughter Mattie Jackson’s baby girl.

Mattie shared the joyful news with fans on social media, announcing that her second child, Charlotte “Charlie” Ann Smith, was born on February 13, arriving just in time for Valentine’s Day weekend.

The newborn weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 20 inches long, bringing even more love and excitement to the growing Jackson family.

A Special Valentine’s Arrival

Mattie revealed the happy news in an emotional Instagram post, sharing how much the family had already fallen in love with the tiny new arrival.

“Our little Valentine decided to make her entrance a few days early, and we couldn’t be more in love with her!” Mattie wrote.
“You are the greatest tiny pink blessing, angel girl! Momma, Dada, and even big brother Ryman already love you so.”

The baby joins Mattie and her husband Connor Smith’s first child, Ryman, who now proudly steps into the role of big brother.

A Proud Grandpa Moment

Alan Jackson also shared the special moment with fans, posting a photo with his newborn granddaughter and expressing his excitement about the newest addition to the family.

“Denise and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our first granddaughter, Charlotte Ann (Charlie) Smith,” Jackson wrote. “Charlie joined our family on Feb. 13. Proud parents are Mattie and Connor Smith.”

For the country music icon and his wife Denise Jackson, the growing family has been a source of tremendous joy.

A Growing Jackson Family

Baby Charlie is the second child for Mattie, joining her son Ryman. But she isn’t the only grandchild in the Jackson family.

Alan and Denise are also grandparents to Jackson Alvie Bradshaw, the son of their daughter Alexandra Jackson Bradshaw.

And the family is continuing to grow. During the holidays, Alan shared a heartwarming photo of all three of his daughters proudly showing their baby bumps, captioning it:

“Merry Christmas from our growing family! — Alan & Denise.”

With more grandchildren expected soon, it’s shaping up to be a joyful season for the entire Jackson family.

A Bittersweet Year for the Country Legend

The arrival of baby Charlie comes during a particularly meaningful year for Alan Jackson.

The beloved singer — known for timeless hits like Chattahoochee — is preparing to close a major chapter of his life and career. This summer, Jackson will perform his farewell concert at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.

The massive 55,000-seat stadium show sold out almost immediately after tickets were released.

“I’m proud and overwhelmed by the response from my fans,” Jackson said in a statement.
“I’m just sorry there weren’t enough seats for everybody who wanted one. I appreciate all the people that have come to my shows and supported me over the years.”

The farewell event will feature an impressive lineup of country stars, including Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Jon Pardi, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and Lee Ann Womack.

A Year of Goodbyes and New Beginnings

For a country legend whose songs have defined generations, this year represents both reflection and celebration.

While Jackson prepares to say goodbye to touring, the arrival of his newest granddaughter reminds everyone that life’s most meaningful moments often happen offstage.

And with baby Charlotte “Charlie” Ann Smith now part of the family, the Jackson household has even more reasons to smile.

For Alan Jackson, it’s a beautiful reminder that while one chapter may be closing, another is just beginning.
