Hayley Williams Just Called Out Morgan Wallen — By Name
Paramore’s frontwoman Hayley Williams has confirmed that her solo track “Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party” takes a direct jab at Morgan Wallen.

The song includes the lyric: “I’ll be the biggest star at this racist country singer’s bar,” which fans quickly connected to Wallen’s “This Bar” in Nashville. And on the Sept. 30 episode of The New York Times’ Popcast, Williams made it official.
“It could be a couple,” she said about who the lyric might refer to, before adding, “but I’m always talking about Morgan Wallen — I don’t give a s–t.”
Williams didn’t hold back, even daring the “Last Night” singer to confront her.
“Find me at Whole Foods, b–h. I don’t care,” she joked.
E! News reached out to Wallen’s team for comment, but no response has been made public yet.
Williams joins a growing list of artists who have called out Wallen’s behavior. In 2021, Kelsea Ballerini and Maren Morris both condemned the singer after a leaked video surfaced of him using a racial slur.

Ballerini posted at the time, “The news out of Nashville tonight does not represent country music.” Morris went further, writing:
“It actually is representative of our town. He demolished a huge streaming record last month regardless. We all know it wasn’t his first time using that word. We keep them rich and protected at all costs.”
Following the backlash, Wallen apologized publicly, saying:
“I’m embarrassed and sorry. I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses… I promise to do better.”
Despite the controversy, Wallen’s popularity has remained high — with sold-out shows, record-breaking streams, and even a recent Saturday Night Live appearance that ended in his abrupt early exit.
After the show aired in March 2025, Wallen skipped the traditional post-show sign-off, later posting an airplane photo captioned, “Get me to God’s country.”
