Country’s Biggest Hearts Unite: Miranda Lambert, Kelly Clarkson & Texas All‑Stars Throw an Epic Benefit Concert for Flood Victims
Band Together Texas: Country Stars Rally for Hill Country Flood Relief
When historic floods tore through Texas Hill Country over the Fourth of July weekend—claiming more than 130 lives and leaving dozens still missing—Texans responded with their trademark resolve. Now that spirit is heading to the stage.

On August 17, the Moody Center in Austin will host Band Together Texas, a benefit concert headlined by two of the state’s own: Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum. Backed by a who’s‑who roster—Cody Johnson, Kelly Clarkson, Ronnie Dunn, Lyle Lovett, Wade Bowen, Ryan Bingham, Jack Ingram, Lukas Nelson, Dylan Gossett, Jon Randall, and the Randy Rogers Band—the evening promises both catharsis and high‑octane country grit.
Adding star power off‑stage, Texans Matthew McConaughey and Colt McCoy join a lineup of special guests including Dennis Quaid, Vince Young, Mack Brown, Roger Clemens, and Emmanuel Acho.
From Catastrophe to Community
Torrential rain turned rivers into walls of water earlier this month, swallowing roads, uprooting homes, and devastating small towns across the Hill Country. As emergency crews continue rescue and recovery efforts, local charities are bracing for a long rebuild.
“All of us have friends or family affected,” said Conroe native Parker McCollum. “There’s a long road ahead, but we’re Texas strong.”
Proceeds from the concert will go directly to the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and the Central Texas Community Foundation, organizations coordinating relief grants for housing repairs, debris removal, and mental‑health services.
A Lineup Built for Healing
Country music has a tradition of turning heartache into harmony, and Band Together Texas leans into that legacy.
“We show up for one another—that’s what Texans do,” said Miranda Lambert. “If a song can lift someone’s spirit or pay for a roof, we’re there, guitars in hand.”
With styles ranging from Lambert’s fiery twang to Lovett’s jazz‑tinged storytelling, the set list is expected to blend solo performances, collaborative jams, and, organizers hint, a few surprise duets.
More Than a Concert
With celebrities trading scripts and playbooks for mic stands, Band Together Texas is poised to become a cultural moment—proof that when disaster strikes, Texans don’t just pray; they play, and they play loud.
Circle August 17, dust off your boots, and join the chorus: Texas helps Texas—one song at a time.
