Riley Green Just Hit a Major Career Milestone With “That’s Just Me”

Riley Green just reached a new level in his career  and the numbers are making it official.

His latest album, “That’s Just Me,” debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, giving Green his first-ever Top 10 album on the all-genre chart and his highest-charting album to date. The 19-track project opened with 60,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. during its first week.

For an artist who has built his career around straightforward country storytelling and songs rooted in his own experiences, the milestone is a pretty big moment.

And “That’s Just Me” isn’t a small project.

Released September 18, the album features 19 songs covering everything from love and heartbreak to family, life on the road, drinking songs and the kind of Southern stories that have become part of Green’s signature sound.

The album also brings together some major names from country music. Green is joined by Brooks & Dunn, Randy Owen of Alabama, Jake Worthington and Hannah McFarland, adding several different voices and sounds to the record.

But the biggest headline is where the album landed.

No. 3 on the Billboard 200.

According to chart data, “That’s Just Me” earned 29,000 units from traditional album sales, 30,000 from streaming and another 1,000 from track-equivalent album activity. Its 30,000 streaming units represented more than 30.89 million on-demand official streams during the tracking week.

That makes the achievement even more notable because Green’s previous full-length album, “Don’t Mind If I Do,” debuted and peaked at No. 25 on the Billboard 200 in 2024.

Green has also been very clear about what he wants his music to sound like.

In a recent interview, he explained that even as his audience has grown, he doesn’t want to abandon the sound and songwriting approach that got him there. He described his songs as simple and relatable, often drawing from where he grew up and experiences that listeners can recognize in their own lives.

That idea is right there in the title.

That’s Just Me.

It’s an album that doesn’t try to be one thing. Green has described it as a collection reflecting different sides of his life — emotional songs, songs made for having fun with friends, and stories inspired by real moments he was experiencing while writing and recording it.

And now that record has delivered the biggest chart debut of his career.

The momentum isn’t stopping there, either. Green recently announced a 29-date “That’s Just Me Tour” for 2027, with special guests including Muscadine Bloodline, Randy Houser, Jake Worthington and Hannah McFarland.

From playing small venues in Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi to reaching arenas, television audiences and now the Top 3 of the Billboard 200, Green’s latest milestone marks another major chapter in his career.

Riley Green called the album “That’s Just Me.” And now the charts are showing just how far that version of Riley Green has come.
