Taylor Sheridan Just Shut the Door on the 6666 Spinoff for Good
For years, Yellowstone fans hoped Jimmy’s journey at the legendary Four Sixes Ranch would become its own series.

Now, it appears that dream is officially over.
Taylor Sheridan has made it clear that he doesn’t want to turn the real-life Texas ranch into another fictional drama—not because he doesn’t have stories to tell, but because real people are living those stories every day.
When Jimmy left the Dutton Ranch and headed to the Four Sixes, fans immediately became invested in his new life. The ranch became one of the most intriguing parts of the Yellowstone universe, and talk of a 6666 spinoff had fans excited for what could come next.
But Sheridan sees the situation differently.
The Four Sixes isn’t just a fictional setting created for television.
It’s a real working ranch.
Real cowboys work the land. Real families live there. Real children grow up there. And Sheridan doesn’t want to manufacture conflict or turn the lives of people who never asked to be characters into entertainment.
That’s what makes his decision so unusual in Hollywood.
Sheridan has built an entire television universe around the people, struggles and conflicts of the American West. Yet when it came to the Four Sixes, he chose to respect the real people who call the ranch home rather than create another hit show.
For fans, it may be disappointing.
But there’s something admirable about an artist saying no to another series when the easier choice would have been to say yes.
The Yellowstone universe may continue to grow in other directions.
But the real Four Sixes?
That belongs to the people who actually live there.
