Inside Lainey Wilson & Duck Hodges’ Magical Cave Wedding! From a Blind Date to a Fairytale “I Do” at a Hidden Waterfall!

The Queen of Country Cool is officially a married woman!

Lainey Wilson, the Grammy-winning country superstar and Yellowstone favorite, has tied the knot with her longtime love, former NFL quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges. The couple said their “I Dos” in an breathtaking, ultra-romantic ceremony that felt like a scene straight out of a movie—complete with a hidden cave, a rushing waterfall, and a touch of Louisiana magic.

Here is an exclusive look inside the most anticipated country wedding of the year!

A Love Story Built on Backroads and Honky-Tonks

Lainey and Duck’s story began back in 2021 on a blind date that ended exactly how you’d expect a country love story to end: drinking and dancing at Nashville honky-tonks like Silverado’s. “We’ve been pretty inseparable since,” Lainey smiles.

Four years later, in February 2025, Duck pulled off the ultimate country music proposal. He took Lainey to the historic estate of the legendary George Jones and popped the question right on the front porch, surrounded by rose petals and photos of their journey together.

The Venue: Falling in Love with a Billboard

When it came to choosing a venue, the couple didn’t go for a traditional church or a flashy resort. Instead, they let the Tennessee backroads guide them. While driving, they spotted a billboard for The Ruskin Cave in Dickson, Tennessee.

“Duck said, ‘You wanna get married there?’ I said, ‘Done deal,’” Lainey recalls. They fell in love with the raw, natural beauty of the cave and the simplicity of the property.

A Stunning Custom Look (With a Special Meaning!)

We all know Lainey Wilson is famous for her signature denim bell bottoms and cowboy hats, so everyone was dying to see her wedding look. Working with stylist Alexandra Mandelkorn and the iconic Oscar de la Renta team, Lainey wore a custom masterpiece.

The dress featured delicate, hand-stitched Japanese cherry blossoms scattered across the neckline and gown. “The cherry blossom represents living in the moment, and that’s exactly what we did,” Lainey explained.

Duck looked every bit the sharp country gentleman in a bespoke D. Lacquaniti suit, a custom Mud Lowery bolo tie, and a Charlie 1 Horse cowboy hat.

The Ceremony: Tears, Waterfalls, and “Deddy’s” Arm

The ceremony took place on Sunday, May 10, 2026, on a cobblestone ledge right at the foot of a gorgeous waterfall. With a gentle spring breeze blowing and birds singing, Lainey arrived in a beautiful white horse-drawn carriage.

Her “Deddy” walked her down the aisle to a beaming Duck. “I have never seen Duck smile as big as he did then,” Lainey admits. “It made me feel giddy about turning the page into this next chapter.”

A Cajun Party in a Tennessee Cave

Being a proud Louisiana girl, Lainey made sure the reception brought some serious Cajun flair. The legendary Rebirth Brass Band from New Orleans led the entire wedding party in a traditional “second line” march straight into the cave for the reception!

Guests treated themselves to a spectacular Cajun meal prepared by the chefs from Lainey’s own Nashville bar, Bell Bottoms Up. After a beautiful dinner prayer led by Lainey’s mama, the dance floor stayed packed all night long.

To end the perfect fairytale evening, the newlyweds ran through a tunnel of sparklers and cheering loved ones, jumped into a classic old white Ford truck, and drove off into the night as husband and wife.
