Terri Irwin Reacts to Son Robert Irwin Winning Dancing With The Stars: “I Know Your Dad Is Proud Too”

It was a night of celebration, history, and raw emotion on Dancing With The Stars as Robert Irwin was crowned the Season 34 champion — a full decade after his sister, Bindi Irwin, won her own mirrorball trophy. The Irwins have officially made DWTS history as the first-ever sibling duo to win the competition.

After 11 weeks of intense training, themed dances, and high-pressure scoring, Robert and his professional partner Witney Carson delivered three spectacular performances on finale night:

• A high-energy Instant Dance

As viewer votes and judge scores were tallied, the final two came down to Robert Irwin and influencer Alix Earle. When host Alfonso Ribeiro — who won Season 19 himself — called Robert’s name, the ballroom erupted.

The Irwins were all in the ballroom — and they were all in tears.

Before the season even began, Bindi shared that she, her husband Chandler, Terri, and even several staff from the Australia Zoo would temporarily relocate to Los Angeles to support Robert throughout the competition. Week after week, the family filled the audience, cheering him on through every triumph and challenge.

They even made special appearances during themed episodes — a true Irwin family affair.

When Robert and Witney’s victory was announced, Terri, Bindi, Chandler, and the Australia Zoo crew jumped to their feet, shouting, crying, and hugging each other in pure joy. Video of their reaction quickly spread on social media, capturing the emotion of the moment.

After celebrating with fellow cast members, Robert ran into the arms of his mom and sister for a long-awaited group embrace.
