A Fan Threw a Bra at Miranda Lambert During Her New Mexico Show

Miranda Lambert gave fans in Lovington, New Mexico, a night to remember—both for her powerhouse performance and for one unexpected moment.

As part of the Lea County Fair and Rodeo’s 2025 Summer Concert Series, Lambert took the stage on August 9 at the Lea County Fairgrounds. The fair had already hosted country favorites like Randy Houser and Midland, but it was Lambert’s turn to light up the crowd. With hits like “Kerosene,” “Vice,” and the Grammy-winning “The House That Built Me,” she delivered exactly what fans came for: a high-energy, heartfelt show.

But mid-performance, the night took a playful turn. A fan tossed a black bra onto the stage, landing it right in front of Lambert. Instead of brushing it off, the country superstar leaned into the moment.

“Who threw this bra up here?” she asked with a laugh, holding it up for the crowd to see. “Okay, it’s been a while, but thank you.”

The audience erupted in laughter as Lambert hung the bra on her microphone stand and added, “It ain’t my size, I’m gonna hang it right here. Perfect timing, because this one’s for the ladies tonight.” She then launched into her 2011 anthem “Baggage Claim,” making the cheeky moment even more perfect.

A Growing Trend of Fans Throwing Things on Stage

While Lambert’s incident was lighthearted, not every artist has been so lucky. Recently, concertgoers have developed a troubling habit of tossing items at performers—sometimes dangerous ones. Luke Bryan, for instance, was hit by a ball during a show and later vented on The Bobby Bones Show.

“My official statement is people throw things at artists and they’re idiots,” Bryan said. “It’s the deterioration of the moral fabric of how your a** ought to act. This is not a new thing. That was a great thing to get thrown at me. It was a little beach ball. I’ve had $1,100 cell phones get thrown at me.”

Lambert’s Good Humor Saves the Day

Luckily for fans in Lovington, Lambert turned the bra toss into a funny, memorable highlight rather than a disruption. Her quick wit and ability to laugh with the crowd reminded everyone why she remains one of country music’s most entertaining live performers.

Still, as harmless as a bra might be, it’s worth remembering—artists deserve respect on stage. Not every surprise is welcome.
